What We're Campaigning For

Since 2017, the NDP government in BC has brought important gains for workers rights in our province – from increases in the Minimum Wage to providing five days of paid sick leave and making it easier for workers to form unions at work. The election is a straight fight between the BC NDP and the BC Conservatives – who represent a risk to that progress.

More than one million union members in BC can make the difference in this election. Below are some of the key issues we’re urging members to consider when you cast your vote.

Our Priorities
Bold action to cut housing costs, by building thousands of new homes and protecting tenants.
A continued rise in the Minimum Wage, which has risen from $10.85 to $17.40 in seven years.
Investing in good quality public healthcare by hiring more health care workers and professionals.

BC Needs to Keep Going Forward, Not Backward

This October’s election will be a straight fight between David Eby’s BC NDP, and John Rustad’s Conservative Party.

When Rustad served as a minister under Christy Clark, his government closed public schools, brought in tolls on major bridges, and imposed soaring costs for basic services like healthcare, ICBC coverage, and BC Hydro.

After being kicked out of BC United for denying climate change, his new party is proposing extreme cuts to public healthcare and running candidates who’ve called Pride marchers “degenerates”.

Workers in BC want answers to the real problems facing them every day. They need more housing, better healthcare, and lower costs, not cuts to public services.
